Editorial standards
Last updated October 10, 2026
These are the rules WallPost holds itself to. If a piece breaks one, tell us and we will fix it in public.
Sourcing and verification
- Every figure in a news piece comes from a named primary source, such as a government release, a court opinion or a central-bank statement, or from a named news organization that reported it. Sources are listed at the end of each piece.
- We do not estimate, round up or invent a number to make a story work. If we cannot source a figure, it is not in the piece.
- History pieces cite the records or scholarship they rely on. Where historians disagree, we say so, and we do not print legends as fact.
- Quotations are reproduced as published by the outlet that reported them, with that outlet named.
Independence
- WallPost runs no advertising or sponsored content. No one pays to be covered or to be left out.
- We do not give investment, tax or legal advice. The notes on what an event means for a stretched household, a middle household and one with savings describe how money moves. They are not recommendations for anyone’s situation.
Ownership and funding
WallPost is independently owned and edited by its founder, Charan Tej Purra, CA (ICAI), CMA, and funded by him. He also runs TaxBooksCFO LLC, an accounting and advisory firm. WallPost does not cover that firm’s clients and does not promote its services in editorial pieces.
How we use AI tools
WallPost uses AI tools to help with research, drafting and page production. The editor reviews every piece before it is published, checks its figures against the sources it names and is responsible for it. AI tools are never cited as a source.
Images
We use archival photographs and documents from public collections such as the Library of Congress and the National Archives, and licensed photographs credited under each image. Captions say what an image shows, when it was made and who made it. We do not use an image that misrepresents the event in the story.
Corrections
- When we get a fact wrong, we correct the piece, add a dated note saying what changed and list it on the corrections page.
- We do not silently change published facts. Typo and formatting fixes are not logged.
- To report an error, email hello@wallpost.org with the page, the claim and your evidence. We aim to reply within two business days.
Dates
News pieces carry the date they were published and name the date of the event they report. Days without an edition were not filled in after the fact.
